"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

We are living through the greatest experiment the world has ever known - the United States of America. With your support and the partnership of those who share our mission, we will continue to keep the American spirit alive. America Celebrates, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to honoring the greatness of our nation and ensuring that America’s history is preserved and remembered. While living in the past serves little purpose, forgetting it is fatal.
Education plays a vital role in keeping the American spirit alive. America Celebrates, Inc. is dedicated to sharing accurate historical facts and connecting our members and guests with credible, unbiased sources that have no hidden agenda. Engaging all generations and sparking curiosity can be challenging, which is why we embrace an inclusive and relaxed learning atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Whether someone is just beginning to explore America’s history or brings years of knowledge and experience, all can learn, connect, and grow together. Our approach is fun, interactive, and dynamic - featuring reenactments, fireworks, drone displays, educational readings, and guest speakers with engaging Q&A sessions, to name just a few.
America then, America now and America always.
God Bless America!

By issuing the Declaration of Independence, adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, the 13 American colonies severed their political connections to Great Britain. The Declaration summarized the colonists’ motivations for seeking independence.

The U.S. Constitution comprises the primary law of the U.S. Federal Government. It describes the three chief branches of the Federal Government (Executive, Legislative and Judicial) and their jurisdictions, and lays out the basic rights of citizens of the United States.

Anna Smith Strong was a spy based in Setauket, Long Island in New York. She was involved in General George Washington’s spy ring known as the Culper Spy Ring headed by Major Benjamin Tallmadge. Strong and several other residents of Long Island were recruited by Tallmadge who had grown up in Setauket. Other members of the Culper Ring were based in New York City where they spied on the British soldiers. They snuck the information they uncovered to Abraham Woodhull in Setauket who lived next door to Strong. It was her job to signal fellow spy Caleb Brewster that information was ready for him to pick up. She developed an ingenious, almost foolproof signal device to message Brewster: she simply hung her laundry out to dry, in plain sight of British soldiers. Strong hung a black petticoat on her clothesline, along with a number of handkerchiefs. The black petticoat signaled that a message was ready to be picked up and the handkerchiefs would relay where the message was hidden. Six coves along the shore of Long Island were designated as dead drop locations. The number of handkerchiefs hung corresponded to one of the six coves. This messaging system was never broken throughout the entire Revolution and no one in the Culper Ring was ever caught. As a woman, she was severely underestimated, and by doing her laundry, a normal womanly thing to do, no one suspected that she was doing anything out of the ordinary

The outcome of a war is shaped by far more than any single battle. While these conflicts remain endlessly fascinating with most people have a favorite, each engagement carries numerous consequences, and it is tempting to speculate endlessly about “what if” scenarios and alternative outcomes. Still, only a handful of battles during the American Revolution truly altered its course. These were the engagements that halted campaigns, forced strategic reassessments, and shifted momentum.

Though skirmishes and battles helped determine America’s fate during the Revolution, far more was happening behind the scenes. Leadership, policy, diplomacy, espionage, alliances, logistics, manufacturing, and strategy all worked together in shaping the course of history - often as decisively as the fighting itself.
